Mr Logan is available for consultation on the assessment and diagnosis of hand and wrist conditions. These consultations are held at Spire Cardiff Hospital.

It is important to obtain a referral letter from your General Practitioner. He/she will confirm whether or not it would be helpful to see Mr Logan. Your General Practitioner is your main doctor and will often add important significant medical details to referral letters allowing more careful assessment and safer planning of any surgical intervention needed. It also keeps your GP up to date with your treatment.

The Consultation

A relevant history of your presenting problem will be taken. This will then guide an appropriate examination.  If necessary further investigations or tests will be ordered. Once a diagnosis has been established an explanation of the problem and its significance will be discussed. If an operation is recommended then a full explanation of the procedure will be given including the benefits, risks and potential complications as well as non-surgical alternatives. This is all part of the practice of Informed Consent.
